TAMPA, FL - So you want to be a roadie for Bruce Springsteen's Super Bowl halftime show in Tampa?
The company overseeing the pregame and halftime shows for the Feb. 1 Super Bowl needs about 600 local volunteers to help with the productions.
"It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," said Joanna Hunter, a National Football League spokeswoman.
Volunteers will help move equipment on to the field and set up the mobile stage and lighting. The experience will offer a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the production, Hunter said. Volunteers won't get tickets to the game.
No experience is necessary, but volunteers must be at least 18 years old and able to attend several rehearsals. Halftime show volunteers will participate in a dress rehearsal with Springsteen and the E Street Band.
Anyone interested in volunteering should go to www.superbowlproductions.com to register, see rehearsal schedules or for information.
