Completing a week of quarterback shuffling, the Cleveland Browns traded Brady Quinn to the Denver Broncos on Sunday, leaving veteran newcomer Jake Delhomme as their top signal caller.
The National Football League deal that sent Quinn to Denver for running back Peyton Hillis and a 2011 NFL Draft pick comes one day after the Browns came to terms on a two-year contract with 35-year-old Delhomme.
Delhomme guided Carolina to the 2004 Super Bowl but was brought to tears when the Panthers surprisingly dropped him last week.
Delhomme went 58-40 with the Panthers but had his career-worst season in 2009 with 18 interceptions.
In the past week, the Browns released Derek Anderson, who had struggled at quarterback the past two years, and sent away Quinn while obtaining Delhomme and backup quarterback Seneca Wallace.
Quinn went 3-9 last season for the Browns, who obtained him in the first round of the 2007 NFL Draft.
