NEW YORK (Reuters) - New York Jets wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery will miss the weekend's game against the Oakland Raiders through injury, the team confirmed on Friday.
Suffering from a left hamstring problem, Cotchery will miss his second straight contest, according to announcement on the Jets website (www.newyorkjets.com).
"I know he was getting better (but) in the end we don't want this to be happening all the time, each week wondering if he's going to be up," Jets coach Rex Ryan said.
"If we can get him 100 percent or near it, that's the best option."
Cotchery leads the Jets with 24 catches and 360 yards while helping to ease the transition for starting rookie quarterback Mark Sanchez.
