Peyton Manning threw for four touchdowns including a 65-yard strike to Reggie Wayne for the go-ahead score as Indianapolis remained unbeaten with a 35-31 win over Jacksonville.

Manning threw for 308 yards as Indianapolis improved to 14-0 for the first time in franchise history.

"I thought today was a great test against a good team," Manning said. "I feel real good about the win."

There were just two turnovers Thursday but the teams combined for 714 yards, 43 first downs, 10 lead changes and five punts.

The Jaguars (7-7) spoiled a chance late in the game to clinch the win as quarterback David Garrard failed to hit receiver Mike Thomas on a third-and-10 play. Indianapolis' Jacob Lacey intercepted the ball and the Colts then ran out the clock.

Indianapolis extended its NFL-record winning streak in the regular season to 23 games. They became just the third team in league history to go 14-0, joining the 1972 Miami Dolphins and 2007 New England

Patriots.

The Saints can join at 14-0 with a win over the Dallas Cowboys Saturday.

Jacksonville lost for the third time in the four games.

Manning, who finished 23-of-30, completed his first 13 passes in a similar performance to his last game against the Jaguars when he completed 17 in a row.

Wayne caught five passes for 132 yards and Dallas Clark had seven catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

"Reggie just used his speed," Manning said. "What a great job once he caught the ball to get into the end zone."

The Jaguars got in field-goal range just before the half, but Josh Scobee came up short on a 57-yard attempt.

Maurice Jones-Drew ran 14 times for 73 yards in the first half. He averaged 69 yards in the Jags last four games.

There had been rumours that Jones-Drew was being slowed by a sore knee.
