Snow forces NFL time changes

National Football League clubs scrambled to reach their destinations Saturday because of a snowstorm which created havoc in airports and pushed back start times of a couple of Sunday games.

The start time of the Philadelphia Eagles-San Francisco 49ers game on Sunday has been moved back more than three hours because of the snowstorm.

The team said Saturday the change to 4:15 pm EST (2100 GMT) was made to allow the city and stadium workers to clear streets and walkways in and around the stadium.

The Chicago Bears scheduled flight to Baltimore on Friday was cancelled ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens.

The Bears' flight was changed to Saturday and the time of the game was also moved back to 4:15 pm EST.

The storm, which covered most of the US northeast, dumped between 30 (12 inches) and 60 centimetres in the city of Baltimore.
