Sale of 2 Maryland horse racing tracks by Magan Entertainment pushed back 2nd time

The sale of two Maryland horse racing tracks by bankrupt owner Magna Entertainment Corp. has been pushed back for a second time.

The auction of Laurel Park, Pimlico Race Course and the Preakness Triple Crown race is now scheduled for Feb. 10. A hearing to approve the sale has been rescheduled for Feb. 26.

Earlier this month, the original Jan. 8 auction date was pushed back to Thursday at Magna's request.

Potential buyers must agree to keep the Preakness, the second leg of the Triple Crown, in Maryland.

Ontario-based Magna filed for bankruptcy protection in March.
